Signal Hill, CA (July 14, 2024) – On Sunday, July 14, 2024, a tragic two-car collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue in Signal Hill, resulting in the deaths of two individuals. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified one of the deceased as 88-year-old Sheldon Turchin. The identity of the second victim, a woman in her 70s, has not yet been publicly released.
Accident Details: The accident occurred in the early evening at the 2800 block of Cherry Avenue. The two-vehicle collision killed both Turchin and the other occupant in the car. The driver in the other vehicle was injured.
