SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (June 26, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of Highway 12 and Interstate 5 left one person dead and several others injured Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. near the I-5 interchange and involved three vehicles, including a Ford SUV, a Honda sedan, and a Chevrolet pickup. CHP officials confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene, and at least two others were hospitalized. The crash caused significant traffic delays in the area as emergency crews responded and cleared the roadway.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP investigators are working to determine what caused the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that one of the vehicles may have run a red light, but officials are still collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
