Randolph County, IL (March 26, 2025) – One person was killed and three others injured Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a concrete truck and an SUV on Illinois Route 3, just north of Ellis Grove, according to the Illinois State Police.
Incident Details: The crash occurred around 6:47 a.m. approximately 1.5 miles north of Ellis Grove. Authorities say a concrete truck and an SUV collided on Route 3, resulting in fatal injuries to one person and non-fatal injuries to three others. All lanes were closed for several hours while crews worked to clear the scene, including the removal of the concrete truck.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Illinois State Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Key considerations may include right-of-way violations, speed, visibility, and whether either vehicle veered from its lane.
