Teen Football Recruit Elijah Berman Killed in Semi-Truck and Motorcycle Crash in Ohio

Franklin, OH (June 24, 2025) – A tragic collision between a motorcycle and a semi-truck has claimed the life of Elijah Berman, a 17-year-old football player and Eastern Michigan University recruit.

Accident Details: The fatal crash occurred Tuesday evening at approximately 5:12 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Berman was riding a 2006 Suzuki DL1000 when he was struck by a semi-truck driven by Anthony Allen, 41, of Roseville, Michigan. The collision happened at the intersection of a ramp from I-75 north. Authorities reported that the truck struck the motorcycle in the intersection, hit a raised median divider, and overturned.

Berman was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died. The semi-truck driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: The crash is still under investigation. Investigators will examine various factors, including who had the right of way. They will examine video surveillance, box truck data, witness statements, and vehicle maintenance status to reconstruct the events of the accident.

Depending on the facts of the case, Elijah Berman’s family may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim

I extend my deepest condolences to Elijah’s family and friends during this difficult time.
