Dallas, TX (August 26, 2025) – Authorities are searching for a semi-truck involved in an early morning hit-and-run in Dallas that left a man seriously injured.
Accident Details: According to the Dallas Police Department, the crash happened in North Dallas when a semi-truck bearing a Dallas Cowboys star logo veered into an SUV and struck the driver’s side. The SUV driver, later identified as Carlos Campos, 26, suffered a catastrophic injury to his left arm. The truck did not stop and fled the scene.
Campos was rushed to the hospital, where doctors were forced to amputate part of his arm. His family says he faces a long and difficult recovery.
Investigation: Detectives are working to track down the semi-truck and its driver. Authorities confirmed the truck had distinctive Dallas Cowboys star markings but ownership and operator details remain under investigation. Police are treating the crash as a felony hit-and-run.
