Blake Ackerman, 26, Killed in West Hollywood Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash

WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA (July 10, 2025) – Blake Ackerman, a 26-year-old attorney and community advocate, was killed Thursday night in a hit-and-run crash while riding his bicycle in West Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Accident Details: The crash occurred at approximately 9:45 p.m. near the intersection of Fountain Avenue and Gardner Street. Ackerman was riding his bicycle home when he was struck by a BMW sedan. The driver of the BMW fled the scene without stopping.

Ackerman was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

The suspect vehicle is believed to be an older-model BMW, possibly white or gray, with a shattered passenger-side windshield. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public for help identifying the driver.
