Ashley Hall Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash in South Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA (May 17, 2025) — A 38-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision in South Los Angeles after being struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Incident Details: The fatal crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of Figueroa and 115th Streets. LAPD investigators say Ashley Hall was in or near the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Figueroa. The driver did not stop after the collision, as required by law. Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived on the scene but were unable to revive Hall, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: Authorities continue searching for the vehicle and driver involved. LAPD is likely reviewing traffic cameras, canvassing nearby businesses for surveillance footage, and seeking eyewitnesses to help identify the vehicle. A key issue is whether the victim was in a crosswalk, had the right of way, and whether the driver was speeding or impaired.

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the Hall family may also have civil remedies available through a wrongful death claim for funeral expenses, loss of financial support, and the emotional toll of losing a loved one.

My thoughts are with the Hall family at this time.
