Agileo Dominges Morales, 47, Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash in Signal Hill

Signal Hill, California  (March 28, 2026) — A 47-year-old Long Beach man was killed in a three-vehicle crash early Saturday morning at Orange Avenue and Willow Street, according to authorities. The collision sent one of the vehicles into the historic Long Beach Municipal Cemetery.

Authorities later identified the deceased as Agileo Dominges Morales of Long Beach.

The crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of Orange Avenue and Willow Street in Signal Hill.

Incident Details: According to reporting citing Signal Hill police and Los Angeles County fire officials, the crash involved three vehicles. One black car left the roadway and came to rest inside the Long Beach Municipal Cemetery, which was established around 1900.

A person inside that car was pronounced dead at the scene. Fire officials said a truck and ambulance responded, and the truck remained for body recovery. Authorities later identified the man who died as Dominges Morales.

Public reports have not yet provided additional details on how the crash began, who may have caused the collision, or whether any other occupants or drivers were seriously injured.

Investigation: Signal Hill police are continuing to investigate the crash. In a three-vehicle collision like this one, investigators will usually focus on the sequence of impacts, the direction each vehicle was traveling, and whether speed, distraction, impairment, or a traffic signal violation played a role.

Crash reconstruction will likely include a review of vehicle damage, roadway evidence, witness statements, and any nearby surveillance footage that may show how the collision unfolded. Because one vehicle left the roadway and entered the cemetery, investigators may also examine whether the fatal impact happened in the initial collision, during a secondary impact, or after the vehicle lost control.

Legal Considerations: Fatal multi-vehicle intersection crashes often raise significant civil liability questions, especially when the cause is still unknown. When early reporting is limited, preserving evidence becomes especially important. The eventual civil case may depend on crash reconstruction, vehicle inspections, and witness accounts that help identify which driver or drivers caused the chain of events.

If the evidence shows that another driver acted negligently or recklessly, the Morales family may have the right to pursue a wrongful death claim to compensate for funeral and burial expenses, loss of financial support, and the loss of companionship.

I extend my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Agileo during this difficult time.
