Cross County, AR (July 30, 2025) — A Wynne man was killed last Wednesday afternoon after a semi-truck struck his vehicle on Highway 64, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Incident Details: The crash occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. when 66-year-old Tracey Foster was driving eastbound in a 2020 Ford and attempted to turn left onto County Road 251. Investigators say 1990 Freightliner driver Miram Langford of Hot Springs, who was also traveling eastbound, moved into the westbound lane to pass other vehicles and collided with the driver’s side of Foster’s vehicle. Foster was pronounced dead at the scene. Langford sustained injuries and was transported to Cross Ridge Hospital.
Investigation and Legal Considerations: The Arkansas State Police continues its investigation and will likely consider factors such as visibility, lane markings, speed, and any potential violations of commercial driving regulations.
Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the Foster family may have grounds to pursue a wrongful death claim. This claim could help them recover costs related to funeral expenses, emotional distress, lost wages, and loss of companionship.
My condolences to Mr. Foster’s loved ones during this difficult time.
