Adam Andrew Garza Killed in Motorcycle vs. Truck Crash in Fresno

Fresno, CA (May 3, 2024) – A motorcycle crash in Fresno on Friday afternoon tragically claimed the life of 26-year-old Adam Andrew Garza. The motorcycle rider died in a crash with a pickup on McKinley Avenue.

Incident Overview: The incident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. on McKinley Avenue at Effie Street, near Blackstone Avenue. Garza was riding a Yamaha sport bike east on McKinley Avenue when a pickup truck traveling north on Effie Street pulled out in front of him. He couldn’t stop or evade in time and crashed with the pickup. Witnesses at the scene immediately tried to assist Garza, performing CPR until police and paramedics arrived. Despite being taken to the hospital by ambulance, he unfortunately did not survive. The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police during the investigation.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: While there are no criminal charges pending against the driver of the pickup, there are a few details in this accident that suggest negligence may have played a role in Garza’s death. If the driver of the pickup did pull out in front of the motorcycle, Garza’s family may want to consider pursuing a wrongful death claim. This type of claim could help compensate for the loss of their loved one, including funeral costs, emotional distress, and loss of companionship.

My condolences go out to Garza’s family and loved ones during this challenging time. The family has setup a GoFundMe to help with funeral costs, so please provide them with a donation if you can.
