14-Year-Old Dirt Bike Rider Killed in Collision With SUV in Riverside County

Woodcrest, CA (June 13, 2025) — A 14-year-old boy was tragically killed Thursday morning in a collision involving a dirt bike and an SUV at a rural intersection in Riverside County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Incident Details: The crash occurred around 6:05 a.m. at the intersection of Krameria Avenue and Gardner Avenue in the Woodcrest area. CHP officers responded to a report of a crash involving a dirt bike and a Toyota 4Runner. Upon arrival, they found the teenage rider unresponsive; he was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel.

According to CHP’s preliminary findings, the 14-year-old was riding westbound on Krameria Avenue at an unknown speed. At the same time, the driver of the 4Runner was traveling northbound on Gardner Avenue. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, which is controlled by stop signs. The identities of the teen and the SUV driver have not been publicly released.

Investigation and Legal Considerations: CHP continues to investigate and has not yet determined which party had the right of way, whether either vehicle failed to stop, or if speed or driver conduct was a contributing factor.

Pending the investigation’s findings, the teen’s family may have grounds for a wrongful death claim. Such claims can address funeral expenses, emotional loss, and loss of future support.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of the young rider.
